This was a design exercise to make a more modern looking and appealing DVR interface.
1. Created a modern looking UI that was flat and used opacity and 3 colors to keep it simple.
2. Make the show or piece of content you were browsing the winner
3. Used Simple UI conventions for shows being numbers and movies being a simple icon
4. Showcased a bubble up of things you've recently been viewing and some recently recorded first and then the list of longer shows
Note: The navigation of the UI would be with a D-Pad and select button

I was thinking about what the UI would also look like on an iPad and how adaptive it would be as well. I would adjust it to be a little less title safe but overall I was pleased with the results.
